Wouldn't it be easier to find the best of the whole scribosphere in one place? To be able to read one blog in order to get the news on the screenwriting front? This is exactly where you can do it.

SCRIBOSPHERE posts everything written by scribospherians. No one can keep up with all the blogs out there, until now.

Do you have a screenwriting blog yourself, or do you want to recommend one? Email us and we'll take a look at it.

 Scribosphere October 2006!

Scribosphere Round-Up October 2006

It's November 2006. Soon the year will be past and a new time will come. The Oscar buzz rises and everyone is getting ready for the new years promises. The ones we never eventually keep.

Anyhow, it has been a great year for the Scribosphere, and I'm not talking about this site. I'm talking about the real one. The one that contains the bloggers writing about screenwriting, so that we can become better craftsmen.

Without becoming too dramatic, you should know that this post is a round-up of October 2006.

To start, we will look into who was the most Frequent blogger. There's no question about it actually, because we all know that Alex Epstein won't stop until he has a minimum of 3 posts per day published. Of course he must share that glory with Denis McGrath who's tight with him. Ken Levine is so very close though, he probably is going to be dangerous in the upcoming months.

However to be frequent doesn't mean you give the Best Insight into the art of screenwriting. And that title was harder to decide, because insight can be different for each person. Some might like tv-writing more than feature-writing, and therefore prefer those blogs that concentrate on television. Hopefully though, we will be fair and give this month's title to its rightful blogger/s. It's a tie between Craig Mazin with Artful Writer and Ken Levine! Amazing! The Unknown Screenwriter seemed to be the winner at the beginning of the race, but due to server problems Craig followed by Ken managed to get by him. Craig takes this because of his always deep posts and forum features, where everyone can get tips from pros and discuss screenwriting in serious levels. Hope you recover Unknown Screenwriter...

Now the Scribosphere is a big revolution in the future of screenwriting. By a community of blogs and sites, we can share the knowledge and experience and by that help all writers become better, sometimes as good or even better than students studying in the "high profile" places.

So who will get the Man of Scribosphere title this month? After a lot of thought and then more thought, we thought that it should be The Unknown Screenwriter. No one knows who he is, but he managed to unite the Scribosphere even better than before. With his passion in the One Page Challenge and comments on all blogs, small as big, he is a raw-model of a true scribospherian. Not that Mystery Man is far behind...

Honorable Mentions: William Martell, Uninflected Images Juxtaposed, Alligators in a Helicopter, Danny Stack

Posts of the past month you really shouldn't miss:

Exposition in Screenwriting - Unknown Screenwriter
Checking the Structure - Thinking Writer
How I Got My Start - Artful Writer
On Character Arcs - Mystery Man
Surprising Characterisation - Danny Stack
Beat Sheets - Danny Stack
Script Reading Tips - Danny Stack

This is all for this month. In the future there might be more titles to be shared, so please email us and tell us what you would like to be included in these monthly "races". We're happy for any feedback, encouraging or not, to become better and stronger. We need all support.

Thank you.
