The Scribosphere is going through a major evolution. Now the time has come to share its future with you. Please help this project and get a spot in the first run by donating. You can find how at the end of this page. If you got a blog, site or mouth we would highly appreciate your help in getting this all over the place.

Unk over at unknownscreenwriter.com got a tour and writes about it here.

Beginning with a couple of blogs on the screenwriting-topic, the scribosphere now contains an amazing amount of them, ranging from professional and produced writers to aspiring and struggling ones. Why do you and I do this? Why do we blog constantly without any gain from it other than a small part in this revolution? Because we love it! We love screenwriting and we love movies. We love to share and we love to get.

The sad truth is screenwriters are a minority (at least outside of LA) and there's no other way to discuss this topic than through the net. Who doesn't want to discuss what he/she loves?
Through the scribosphere we have seen writers get their first film made or followed step-by-step how a project has moved forward. However, it has also been a way to procrastinate, not as effective but at least you have hopefully gotten something out of it - knowledge and insight.

But what if we could take this to the next level? Make a base where you can learn exactly what YOU need to learn and co-operate with other writers during this period? What if you could write a script with professional writers getting your back and helping you, pushing you through the depressing times when you think there's no way to go?

What if an online workshop existed? THAT'S exactly what Scribopshere.org will become. A ground, a base, a network, an education, a seminar, a workshop. Here's a summary:

A professional writer will be your mentor during each season, sending a "course-letter" and assignment to all participants once a week. You will work in a group with a maximum of 4 writers each, and complete these assignments within a deadline. On the side you will also write your own individual script and get personal feedback on it whenever you need it. The aim will be to complete a great screenplay within three months. Of course we will try to promote the best screenplays as well.

There will also be guest pros available at scheduled guest-chats. There you can ask everything you need and wonder about. Maybe get a second POV on some of your thoughts...

More advanced and amazing features are thought out for this seminar, but I think you get the basic concept. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to e-mail contact[*AT*]scribosphere.org. Who the professionals will be is going to be announced closer to the opening of "the new" Scribosphere, aimed sometime in November 2007.

Of course, there will still be updates from all the screenwriting-blogs with interesting content, public chats and forums.

THE SCRIBOSPHERE NEEDS YOUR HELP. All donators will get a pass to the first beta-round of the workshop. The donation can be anything from $10 and up. Everyone donating from $50 and up will become VIPs and lead a group of writers. Make sure to include your name, email and if you'd like to be added in the public donator-list below. Of course a full refund is due in case of any obstacle.
